I'm putting together an audio system for my home gym. Room is 14.5' x 20' x 7.5' with one clipped corner so that volume is just over 2000 cu. ft.

There are two doors, otherwise no openings. (Side question: is it worth putting sweeps on the bottom of the doors?)

Being a gym, I will be moving around, there is no fixed listening position.

My SVS SB-2000 is on the Fedex truck and should be here later today

I can put the sub in a corner by re-arranging some equipment, or 1/3 of the way along one wall.

From what I have learned here I should get decent room gain from this sub, would the mid-wall placement give me a more even sound distribution?

Suggestions, advice welcome.

If you want to find the best location for the sub, do the crawl test. As you will not have a fixed position, I'd place the sub around 8 ft from the front wall, at the center of the room width. Run pink noise through it and go around the room with a SPL meter looking for the spot the sub output is at its highest. Then place the sub there.
