I have my 12" 500W sub powered on 24 hours, 7 days a week. Most of the time I just am to lazy to walk over to the corner of the room to shut it off. Todays transistor technology should not be bothered by this. Any suggestions? Any Concerns?

the only concern is that you are paying for more electricity than necessary..... (and depending upon the sub design that may very well be minimal)


but as for longevity concerns - no problem....

Thanks, It is my first sub so just wanted to make sure. I agree, there will be some power consumption even with no input signal. So it does cost something to leave it on all the time. Nothing is free..
