I have a Pioneer VSX-D509s, surround sound has worked great for a couple of years now, but all of a sudden, the subwoofer isn't pumping out any sound. I have double checked and triple checked the connection - it hasn't moved at all.

Can anyone help please?

I have JBL Powebase PB10.

Thanks!

Is the sub getting power - if it has a power indicator light, is it lit? If not, check the fuse on the sub. Just as a test, you could try connecting some speaker wire between the receiver and the high-level inputs on the sub to see if you get any sound out of the sub. If you have a friend with a sub, you could try your receiver on their sub just to make sure it is the sub and not the receiver.
