Subs and Power Surges

Greetings everyone,

There was a power outage on my street last night and I fear some of my equipment may have taken a "hit". My PSB sub is not turning on properly. I will of course be contacting them to find out where I can get it looked at.

Anybody know if powered subs have circuit breakers in them? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a new sub and was also wondering if a surge could travel from the sub through the line level cable back to the receiver in which case I may be looking to spend a bit more on a surge protector dedicated to the sub (it's across the room from the receiver and its surge protector).
