Substitute for Yamaha RX-A830?

333 Views 8 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Ahzroe1
Hi guys,

I've a Yamaha RX-A830, which will have 5 years old, it works well, but it didn't support 4K.
What are your suggestions to replace it? I want something around the same price (600€ at the time I bought it).

It will work with a PHILIPS 55PUS6703, an Apple TV 4K and 6 Cabasse speakers (MT222).

Thanks for your help.

@SpamsAlex what country are you in?

Do you want to stay with Yamaha?

Do you have plans to expand past 5.1 (why do you have 6 speakers or is one a sub)?
If you want to stay with Yamaha either the RX-A780 or A880 and A1080 if you need the full set of preamp outputs.

If you're looking to connect up to 9 speakers then the RX-A2080.

Hi,

Don't mind to stick to Yamaha.
Yes it's a 5.1 and I don't plan to extend it.

And I'm in France.

Thanks, the 2 last are too expensive, why I see how fast change the standard, I think I will keep it for 5 years, so don't think I will spend so much.
Well, if you're looking at saving money Costco has the TSR-7850 on sale and it is very similar to the RX-A780

Now that I see you're in France, this probably doesn't apply.
Hi,

I confirm doesn't apply for France :).
But Black Friday is coming, hope to find good opportunities.

I am not seeing the TSR-7850 on sale at Costco. Maybe expired?
