I have to lift the subwoofer cable coming out of the preout on my Pioneer SC-07 to get a signal. What can I do to remedy the problem, will the jack need to be replaced, and is that even possible? I tried 3 different cables, so I ruled them out. I also tried separating the post a little to get a tighter connection within the jack, but only having the cord lifted gets the signal through.

Sounds like a bad jack in the AVR. A techie friend might be able to fix the jack, depending upon the problem (bent contact, bad solder joint, etc.) Otherwise, any competent tech should be able to replace the jack.

If it's under warranty, and not purchased used I would just let Pioneer deal with it.
