Hey I'm looking for a quick answer to my subwoofer cable question.


I need a 30' long subwoofer cable for my sub, and I was going to get the LC1 from blue jeans.

Would I experience any loss (most of BJ cables have a recommendation of up to 25' before upgrading to a different type) with this cable for my HSU 3.3 at 30' or should I choose the thicker cable?

It's a $2 difference. Check your couch and car.


Personally, I think the LC1 would be more than sufficient. My run is 50' and I use RG6 coax cable. Not very flexible but easy on the wallet.

I can see that the Canare LV 77-S has a larger center conductor. This would appear to be the solution, (so you can stop worrying).


Also, 30 feet isn't considered a really long run.

Not a long distance at all and you should be fine.


I'll 2nd the RG6 cable (head to Lowes of Home Depot) and add self crimping rca jacks on the ends.
