Hi All. I'm new to this site but not to HT. I am starting my project of putting a home theater in the basement. I believe I have read that having a sub on a concrete floor is not good. I thought of building the sub into a wall but it has a rear slotted port and I am not sure if this will affect sound output.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested on hearing more on the "problem" of a sub being on concrete, too.


Generally, it seems like all sub boxes are maintained completely in the theater room for best acoustics. (Except for IB, infinite baffle, subs where essentially the theater room becomes the box, and the rest of the house is the room)
