I am about ready to upgrade my sub. I have

F3 Towers

F3 Center

and some old sony sub

I am looking at the A5 - 350

The question is where to put it.. I looked at the measurements and it could fit to the left of my chair.. But would it sound right here.. I have attatched some pictures.. My room is not big, but i do not want to buy a cheepo sub and move and have to buy another...

Also I will be running a sub cable around the edge of my room... How long do these cables go?

It really doesn't look like you have any options except beside the chair.

Don't believe I have ever seen a wall of doors before.

Properly calibrated, close proximity won't hurt.

You can do 50' cable with no problems.

Yea one door goes into the hallway, the others are double closets.. Not the best room to have my TV and all in but the best I can do for now.

How would I calibrate this sub when I get it?

spl meter from radioshack and test tones.
Can the dresser move to the right at all? Do you need the door closest to the HT setup to open? The A5 is 21". It looks like you could tighten up your setup a bit and get it to fit in the front.

It would work by the chair also. The best thing to do is try it out and see how it sounds.
Yea I am swapping computer desks out with my other room.. So i can move the dresser over about a foot or so...

Since the sub is down firing does it matter what direction the ports are facing? So it could be longways against the wall if I wanted it to?

True.

Myself, I like nearfield placement. It allows you to get a more tactile experience without having to turn it up. Of course, in your room, just about any location would be nearfield.

Well I did some measuring and looked at the specs on the A5 again and it will fit either place... I went ahead and placed my order and cant wait.
