Hi there. I am looking for a subwoofer to complete my system. I have a Pioneer Elite 45tx for the receiver and a Denon 1600 dvd player. Paired with these I have Klipsch speakers: SC1 center, SF1 fronts, and SB1's satellites. I am currently in law school--this means I have very little money to spare and am only looking at 300 or so dollars... perhaps up to 500 if it is a great deal. I am considering the KSW 12 of course, the Cerwin Vega LW12, HSU VTF2, and some svs models... but these are bit on the steep side. I listen to music, play video games, and watch TV about equally on the system. PLEASE HELP!

The Hsu VTF-2 is a good place to start. Others to consider might be some of the Paradigm's...


Try not to short-change yourself though. A good sub will grow with your system. The Hsu, and some of the Paradigms will fit the bill, and be able to grow with a very good system, only missing on the very deepest of frequencies.
