Most of us live in the US and know what drivers we have available here. But what about those folk from other countries?

What drivers are avalable in the UK, Australia, Canada, ect...?

To help out the non-US members, I think it would be helpful if we had a list of companies/drivers available in their area.

Any foreigners able to add a list of quality subwoofer drivers avalable in your area?

as well as Beyma, Mach 5, CSS, Eminence and other's I'll no doubt think of later.

Mostly though, I get my drivers fron USPS.

Anything if you really want it bad enough!

True, but the costs can be very high depending upon what you want, it's value, cubic weight, place of manufacture and method of shipping. Posting a huge sub driver that exceeds 20kg/44lb packed means UPS/Fedex etc which ups the costs considerably over something

isn't it 'ironical' that so many of our drivers are sourced from china, yet we have so few chinese members despite the fact that so many chinese speak very good english?

I'm Chinese. But I am not from China.

Any European folks out there?

I have distribution in both Europe and Australia as pointed out. The main reason I've looked for partners for those areas are because of the difficulties of supporting a customer from half the world away. Woofers are moving devices and failures happen both due to normal production flaws, and due to users who may unintentionally damage them.

Shipping a single 30-50lb woofer to Europe or Australia cost more than the product. Imagine having a situation where the product arrives and there is a problem with it, either due to the fault of manufacture, shipping damage, or due to a user error. Replacing it would require return shipping and a replacement sent back out with all the attendant shipping & custom fees again. It just isn't a great way to support this kind of product in my opinion.

In terms of China, I sell pretty much zero product in China. You have to understand that the average wages in China do not support buying consumers goods that cost anywhere near what we spend on toys. Even in the Asian countries, that have high wages (Japan), I don't sell any subwoofers. There is a reason for that though. There are cultural differences and from what I've seen, the Japanese are not bass-heads and HT nuts. They prefer Karaoke machines and expensive tube amps with single driver speakers. They will spend big dollars on audio trinkets, but not on subwoofers. ;-)

don't poop on the japanese too much. they like most of the stuff that we do. the reality is that japan is an island they are pretty compact in living. as a result, most of their room are small and so don't require the massive bass that we do (at least for those who live outside of manhattan). ;-)

harman/jbl even has different rolloffs for their japanese models than for their u.s. models. the rooms in japan tend to be much smaller, for better or worse, than what we have over here. that explains much of the difference in subwoofer requirements.

one man's opinions of course...and i could be (and probably am) wrong!

The shipping cost of my AE AV-12X to Singapore is as much as the woofer price...

Hey bro, nice to see you at this playground!
PS. It'd good if you list your country in your profile for easier ID.

Ok...my contribution.

Singapore :

Excel Venture trading, that time they were offering 18TBX100 duals for S$900 i believe its retail and don't have to pay for stock. (usd310 ea)

leda.com.sg sells XLSS 12" for S$450.

Martin Electronics sells some Eminence, they do stock some stuff like Kilomax.

There are some car audio stuff but i shan't list, they are not your RE or JL or DD. If not there's still hope...

Commercial wise, its SVS via KEC. Reference Audio does carry HSU but they are not pushing it.

Well Saturday's are pretty slow for me here at work, so I can do updating/formatting then. For now, I will just keep compiling woofer lists from the thread contributers.
