I am finally going to replace my old HK AVR-525. She paid for herself long ago. Still looks good too.

So, I would like to spend between 600 - 700. Mostly movies but I will crank music whenever I have the house to myself. Speakers are all Tannoy. A pair of Sensys DC1's, the matching DCC, a pair of ceiling speakers for the rear's (dont know the model off hand) and sub.

Saw an open box Denon X3000 for 699 at BestBuy. Not sure if that is a good deal or not.

Thanks

Thanks guys.

That Yamaha looks like a killer deal. Whats the catch ? New Egg is close enough for me to will call. I am ready to pull the trigger unless there is a good reason not to.

Buyer's remorse time. Crutchfield has new in box Yamaha RX-A1020's for $699 with full warranty and free shipping.

I think you got a better deal. I'd wager you would not be able to tell any difference between the 775 and the 1030 as far as sound goes
