I'm looking for suggestions for a high-quality HDTV, most likely a 36" direct-view, to replace a 5-yr old Sony 32" XBR100 that has been great, but is now starting to die. I'm planning to use it with a ReplayTV box connected to both analog cable and DirecTV, plus a Sony DVD player.
I'm open to getting a line doubler or a 16x9 tube. My main objective is getting the highest quality picture that I can. FP isn't an option due to wife.
Suggestions for an HDTV DirecTV receiver compatible with Replay would also be appreciated (of course the Replay would only be used to record SD, not HD, but serial command compatibility could be an issue).
