Ok so I have a pair of Kef Q100's being run by a Denon X1000 Receiver and the receiver is strong enough to give these entry level speakers enough RMS wattage to sound decent.

The speaker ratings is as follows:
Model Kef Q100
Design Two-way bass reflex
Drive units 130mm (5.25in.) aluminium Uni-Q 25mm (1in.) vented aluminium dome HF
Frequency response ±3dB 49Hz - 40kHz
Crossover Frequencies 2.5kHz
Amplifier requirements 10 - 100W
Sensitivity (2.83V/1m) 86dB
Maximum output (SPL) 107dB
Impedance 8Ω
Weight 5.9kg (13.0lbs)
Dimensions
(H x W x D)

So I am going to theshownewport next month and am going to pick up either two Outlaw Monoblock 2200's http://outlawaudio.com/products/2200.html
or
Emotiva monoblocks https://emotiva.com/products/amplifiers/xpa-100
or
Emotiva 2 channel amp. https://emotiva.com/products/amplifiers/xpa-2
or
I might even consider benchmarks lower wattage AHB2. http://benchmarkmedia.com/collections/products/products/benchmark-ahb2-power-amplifier
Ya the benchmark a bit under powered but seems like good quality and low noise.

Anyway, I have heard the Kef LS50's and R300 speakers in a better setup than mine. The differences aren't huge to my ears but they are better. I was thinking of picking up some better bookshelves. The things I like about the Q100 is they are front ported and the mids are better than Q300's which sound muddy at times. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on a bookshelf pair for near field use that sound good. I can essentially listen to anything as I'll be in Los Angeles and the show will have a lot of the models. I do not have enough room behind the speakers to go rear ported. I used to have large electrostats in my living room and feel that folded ribbon and planar magnetic are the way to go so suggestions with those technologies would be considered. I am not stuck on a brand but size does matter. Towers not possible, Bookshelves only ok.

Oh and I am not married to the Kef brand.

Any Suggestions welcome.
