Super Bowl in 720P?, why not 1080i, why would

FOX, ABC, and ESPN broadcast in 720p. That is the format they choose and they plan on sticking with it. Whether one is better then the other is a fruitless debate that has happened here many times.

Both 720p & 1080i are HD. As noted, which is better has been debated for years with no conclusive outcome.
