Granted it did get delayed, it still got a perfect score from the top gaming magazine in Japan. Famitsu has only given out six perfect scores before that. I am excited for it, they are only making it better and they added Sheik as a returning character.
what other great deals are there for preordering
Do you guys know if this game will have online play?

do u guys think theyre gunna make the game come out earlier than march 9th?? is it possible?
Sometimes you can geta game before its release date, but it's not likely.

If it got pushed back then it was for good reason so it is very doubtful they will change the date again to an earlier time. Now if a store happens to sell them before the date then....

The only way you will get it early is if you pre ordered it and they get it in a day early. But, Nintendo is really not known for getting stuff in early.
Best you could hope for for "early" is a midnight launch event, really.
Leaks came out all last night (well, day in Japan) all over the net. Someone's playing the single-player story mode and posting to his photobucket account lots of shots of scenarios, unlocked characters, etc. None of the newly confirmed characters are really anyone people weren't already expecting anyway, but it's nice to see proof just the same. Most of the characters paired up in story mode are pretty amusing/awesome, though, and it's looking surprisingly epic. March 9 cannot come soon enough.
Yeah, I had been planning to avoid spoilers, but in the end I crumbled and couldn't resist looking. I'm pleased with all the characters and features this game is packing. I'm looking forward to trying out Pit, Sonic, Snake, Olimar, and R.O.B. There's an incredibly diverse selection of modes and stages.

One of the things I'm actually really excited about is "spectator mode". When you enter this mode, you can watch online matches that other people are playing live. It's sort of like a TV channel for Brawl matches, that you can leave on when you're doing something else.
Can we get in trouble for spoilers around here? Well, my post is gonna have spoilers, FYI.

I'm a little bit disappointed in the final leaked roster of 35, now confirmed to be real. Which is not to say that it's a bad roster -- I'd really think it'd be an amazing roster if they took out say, Wolf and ROB and added in Ridley and another 3rd-party character, like Mega Man; personal preference -- but it seems a bit backwards to me that almost all the amazing newcomers are playable from the start, and the Melee veterans are the unlockables. That turns the character-unlocking process from "Oh boy, I wonder who else they added to this series?" into "Oh no, I hope my favorite old character didn't get cut." This is kind of a moot point for me, I realize, since I already know all the characters now anyway, but it still seems a bit weird.

Beyond that, most of the unlockable characters seem to be clones -- Lucas/Ness, Falcon/Ganondorf, Link/Toon Link, Fox/Falco/Wolf. I thought clones were only in Melee because they ran out of development time, so why did they have to go this route again with Brawl? Now, the clones in Melee really did play pretty differently from their counterparts, and differences look like they'll be even bigger in Brawl, but it's still a little bit of a letdown. I mean, though I like using Ganondorf, and think his co-opted Captain Falcon moveset is oddly fitting, there's still no reason he should be a clone of Captain Falcon in the first place.

This is really all just nitpicking, though, and I'm essentially disappointed in the roster insofar as it is not the exact roster I made up in my own imagination. I still can't wait for this game to come out, and plan on playing it until the end of time. Anyone want to trade friend codes for when the game comes out?

I am also kind of miffed that Mega Man was not included in this game, but 35 playable characters is a huge roster and the part about having to unlock the veterans I think is pretty cool. Granted you will be hooked on this game to unlock the characters you want to use but I think that was Nintendo's thinking behind it.
I agree: I think a 35 character roster is just fine.

And it's not true that "most" of the unlockable characters are clones. It's half and half, with 7 who are clones (Luigi, Ganondorf, Toon Link, Falco, Wolf, Ness, and Marth) and 7 who are not (Captain Falcon, R.O.B., Lucario, Jigglypuff, Mr. Game & Watch, Snake, Sonic). And supposedly the "clones" this time have moves that are more different from the characters they are cloned from than in SSB Melee.
