I get a superstretched signal on DTV SD stations, where the top and bottom get clipped. It's not my TV stretching it, because with 4:3 it's clipped too. With HD DTV or OTA/Cable SD it is also fine. Only the DTV SD have the problem (and they all do).

Anybody have some advice? It's quite annoying.

Thanks!

Check your setup menu in the receiver. There should be an option on how you want the SD picture to be displayed on your TV. set it up for 4:3 and the picture should display correctly.

No, as I said in my original post, it is clipped in 4:3 mode (and badly clipped at that). Something else is happening. There is no clipping with OTA or Cable signals, just DirecTV.

But thanks!

Oops...didn't read your post correctly before responding. I kept changing my TV to 4:3 but the receiver was the problem.

Thanks!!!
