Hello everyone,


In the middle of a DIY false wall project for a projection screen. I have the Carada Masquerade (16:9 horizontal masks) set up, which I love, and I have my head set on surrounding the Masquerade frame with flush wall panels. These panels will be wood frames trimmed out in black velvet.


Now I'm having a heck of a time finding black velvet that matches (texture and color) the "black hole trim" that comes with the Masquerade. I tried Syfabrics and Fidelio Velvet and JoAnn and Michael's, and nothing seems to pair up exactly. I realize it's all moot once the lights are out, but I'd really like the consistent, flush look of a black velvet wall when the lights are on.


Has anyone had any similar experiences? I'd appreciate hearing your feedback.

Email Carada and see if they will sell you some directly. I'm sure they will work with you, tell them what you're attempting to do with your project. Simple.

I concur with Sherardp...Carada may sell it to you for your needs. Or at least guide you to where to find it....David Giles is very helpful.

I bet it is.I do astronomy and have many telescopes.We call it flocking paper.We line our telescope tubes with it to stop light scatter.I have some here and it looks like the same stuff.I never thought about about them being the same.COOL
