I'm looking for suggestions on the firing position for my rear speakers. which would you choose, firing forward, at each other or angled at the center of the viewing area?

the rear of the couch is exactly 3ft from the rear wall and cannot be moved due to it being the perfect distance from my projectors screen. the rears will need to be placed at the back wall. i have no way of moving them closer to the couch since one side of the room is missing a wall. i would really like to hear some suggestions, thanks

sorry about the crappy paint attachment, im no artist

I would point them to the sweet spot (centre of the couch?), which will help you hear better phantom imaging on the rear and side walls. Placing the surrounds at least a couple of feet above ear level will make them sound more enveloping.
