Hey guys,

In a nutshell I am converting my HD-DVD collection to Bluray discs so I can use my Sony BDP-S1700ES to play all my movies (no more 360 for my HD-DVD collection). The program I am using is converting the Dolby Digital Plus audio of my HD-DVD's to LPCM format. I am told this is necessary because DD+ is different between HD-DVD and Bluray (whereas any HD-DVD with Dolby TrueHD audio is left untouched because TrueHD is the same between HD-DVD and Bluray). Is this correct?

Is LPCM just as good, audio quality wise, as DD+? Will all 5.1 speakers still receive the same sounds/data/etc? Will my receiver be able to handle it correctly (Anthem MRX700)?

Thanks!
