Surround sound in a replacement head unit?

Any one know of a head unit that will play back multi-channel FLAC files? They all seem to have 4 amps so could play back Quad FLACs with no problems and with 6 pre outs for center and sub, it would be easy to support the full 5.1. But every aftermarket head unit I have ever looked at says they only support stereo FLAC files.
