Hi All,

I'm new to this forum however would like to ask for your input and advice on speaker placement in a billiard room.

Approximate dimensions are 21' by 24'

- Front wall is 10' wide then tapers at 30 degrees to side walls, there are 6' wide windows on the tapering walls

- 50" plasma TV will be mounted on the front wall

- Seating is sofa style and elevated along the side walls and part way along back wall

- Entry is 6' wide along back wall

- Vaulted ceiling

- Billiard table is in the center of the room

Is seems pretty straight forward to mount Front Left, Center, and Front Right speakers around the Plasma TV

Seating along the side walls makes it difficult to overlap surround left and right channels.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

can you be more specific on your dimensions? I don't understand how a room can be 21x24, and then have a front wall only 10'.

Which walls were 21 and 24?

How big is the back wall?

Maybe you could describe each wall: Front, left, right, center (if 4 walls). If more than 4 walls, then please give a more detailed description.

......Doug, for the surrounds you might consider a pair of in-ceiling surround speakers mounted in your vaulted ceiling with pivotable tweeters. Try aiming the tweeters outwards toward the sidewalls to immerse the listeners in reflective surround sound. If you have a 6.1 or 7.1 set-up, repeat the same thing toward the rear of the room, only higher up. There may be little that can be done to get decent sound for listeners stuck in the rear wall sofa, which probably will be awash in reverberence.
