I'm interested in putting some type of surround sound system in the living room of my Apartment. I have a 42in Panasonic plasma. I also have the new Panasonic up converting dvd player (wish i'd bought the oppo) because of this I have no need for HTIB dvd/reciever combo. Since I live in an apartment I can't exactly have a floor rumbling sub. I read a lot about different ways to stop the bass vibration but still get decent sound. With all of this in mind what would you guys recommend?

I just made this purchase


Onkyo 505 in Black 250$ delivered.


Polk RM6750 5.1 system in Black 280$ delivered.


I had the chance to demo before I bought at a local Fry's.


The speakers were crisp and the bass was there, but not heavy (perfect for thin walls)


Add some new speaker wire and you have a setup for 550$. I'll update this thread with my first (in-home) impressions once I get it all in in a week.
