Surround sound system

Can anyone suggest a sub $500 system for me? I do not need a dvd player although would not mind a htib, as long as the dvd player can play dvd +r's. My cheap surround system is going and I am low on cash, but do not want a piece of junk. Also, I will be upgrading to a plasma HDTV in a year or so, so would like the system to have all the inputs available.

Before you posted this did you bother to read any of the older threads on 500 dollar HTIB's because I did a search and I stopped counting at thirty.
