Right now I have a 3.1 system using Energy RC-10 fronts and an RC-Mini center. I have two RC-Mini's that I'll use to complete the 5.1 set up. Unfortunately, in order to keep the peace I may need to mount the Mini's in the position that the rear speakers would normally take in a 7.1 system.

Will running YPAO compensate for the incorrect speaker location well enough, or will it sound bad? Any suggestions, besides ignoring the wife and placing the speakers where they belong?

My receiver has surround back, side and front modes specifically for this problem. This may solve the issue?
