Just a quick question for the experts

I recently bought 2 pairs of Polk monitor 40s for 99/pair and the fronts will go on my tv stand but the rears are giving my some difficulties. Since they don't have mounting brackets or keyholes, should I use the pinpoint am-40 mounts or some other form of shelving or would I be better off with a stand?

I'm concerned either way since they are larger/heavier bookshelves so I want to make sure that whichever solution I go with, the speakers will be secure.

Thanks everyone!!!

there is at least one AVS member who has used the AM-40 mounts for Polk Monitor 40's successfully. The Pinpoint mount is about the only one that will hold such large speakers if you don't put them on some kind of shelf. The Monitor 40's are rear ported, so they do need some stand-off distance from the wall to function to their full potential.
