SVS PB12-ISD compared to SB12-NSD

1860 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  qposner
I have had a SVS PB12-ISD since 2005 and couldnt be much happier. Great sub and still going strong. However, Im considering adding a second sub to the mix. Would adding a SB12-NSD be appropriate in this scenario? Dont really want to sell the old ISD just to buy two identical NSDs. Thanks!

Mixing a ported sub with a sealed one would not be ideal. IMO, consider adding:

- a PB-1000

- a PB-2000

- a gently-used or B-stock PB12-NSD.*

(*You appear to have just missed out on SVS' clearance of new PB12-NSDs. But you can keep an eye on their Outlet Specials page for B-stock units.)

Agreed. Stick to SVS's ported subs to match up with your sub.

Thanks to you both. I will certainly keep an eye on SVS' outlet specials.
