SVS SB-3000 Subwoofer Review - HomeTheaterHifi.com

Don't know about the performance against the other top online purveyors, but these new subs from SVS are certainly lookers!

Way, way below anything from the likes of PSA, JTR, Rythmik, Harbottle, Funk, etc.
I wish PSA, JTR, Rythmik, Harbottle, Funk, etc. would have a app. it makes it so much easier to integrate multiple subs. I hate Audyssey and most auto room correction. Much rather use REW and the built in SVS app. So SVS does have that advantage over those other brands for me.

All of our finished product comes with remote tune as standard. We realize that not everyone is interested in learning DSP, so I personally tune both Funk and Harbottle subs from my office in BC. Just to make everyone aware that the option exists.

So this $1000, ~16" sealed subwoofer with a 13" driver doesn't match Funk, whose smallest driver is 18" and cheapest model costs $3000? Same for JTR? Or Harbottle's C18 for $4300? It's amazing this kind of insight comes for free!

OP, I'm perfectly content with the SB-3000 in my small 5.1.4 theater (my third of progressively bigger sealed subs). I hardly stress it and my spouse still complains about the room rattling! The usual opinion of SVS is that the customer service and trade-in rights are great, but they are consequently a few hundred more than subs with equivalent output from Hsu, Rythmik, etc. I needed something very compact and piano black and the 3000 fit the bill. I use Audyssey XT32, but I still use the app much more often than I thought I would just to change levels. I have presets for music, movie, and late night.
