Anybody know anyone else than SIE (Andreas Blomberg) that is qualified to to work on Barcos? Or who knows how they work and should be repaired and serviced.

You may check with Anders Olofsson / www.filmhemma.com.

Have no idea if he is qualified to service Barco's but he calibrate Barco's.

So if he doesn't do it himself he might know someone.

Any problems with SIE ?

Just so that I know because I'm going to buy a CRT and if it's poor service from them then Barco's may be out of the question.

No problem i think. But my 1208 broke down, and made a horrible burnin in the blue tube (which was a new VDC tube 1 week old). Really bad luck.

And Andreas on SIE does not repair with "refurbished" tubes. He say he can't give guarantees after it.

And i don't think my insurance company länsfösäkringar is willing to pay 20-30000:- kr. A used neckboard and a VDC tube is only around 15000:- which they think is ok.

You have the PJ insured ?

Didn't know you could do it :D

Too bad about the tube.

Do you need a guarantee (or is that for the insurance company) ?

Otherwise you could tell SIE that he doesn't have to guarantee that the tube works as long as he does the job.

On the other hand if the PJ is insured why doesn't LF want to pay for the "real" parts ?

Or is it because it was a VDC tube from the beginning ?

How would they know if it's a VDC or not :) ?

Viss skillnad ju.
