357 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  JMCFAN
I purchased my set in Oct. ( Sept build date)I have just noticed a green blur/blob in the lower right corner especally when watching framed in grey channels. I called Sony today ..they had me do the usual reset and then gave me the number for a service company to call to come out and check it ( warrenty...)

I want to check here first so I know of other issues and can speak to the person intellignently... anyone...??

I tried to search the SXRD thread but at over 5000 posts my eyes would fall out...

The SXRD Owner's thread is jam-packed full of people who are seeing problems similar to yours. Check out the last 50 pages of the Owner's thread and you'll see what I mean.
My sxrd has no problems like most people here mention. I think this is natural with all rear-projection units especially when viewed at an angle. When viewed straight on, there should not be any faults.
Blobs in projection TV pictures are usually due to dust inside. Refer to the manual for cleaning instructions.

Non-CRT rear projection TV's need frequent cleaning of a fan air filter also, as do front projectors.
