t9-input with remote control?

I'm wondering if there's some input method that would allow me to use the number keys of my remote control to input text as I would on a cell phone (using t9 or the traditional method).


If I'm browsing the web from my couch and need to input some text, it would be nice to do one handed input with the remote control.
