Need recomendation and opinions for my next screen upgrade.


I own a 8500LC Crt 240 Lumens in a totally dark rooms with black walls!

The CRT will be table mount and its vertical throw angle is Very close to my viewing angle.

I sit 1.3 Screen width. Dunno if thats relevant but the Screen size is 80" Diag.

There is only 1 seat in the HT and its mine right on the middle spot!

The Screen will never be rolled but fixed on the wall.

I am ready to sacrifice little color shift for more punch.


What gain screen you suggest?

I read great reviews sbout high power. Is that screen suitable for my case?

1.3 gain.


Any more will result in noticeable color shift and hot-spotting, which means Hi-Power is inappropriate.

I have a High Power with a floor mounted CRT and love the combo. There is no hotspotting, there is some minor color shifting, but it is so minor to me that it doesn't bother me. With you only having one seat in the sweet spot I think the High Power is the perfect choice for you.
