Very interesting war movie from Korea. In many ways very similar to both Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan but put into the text of the 1950 Korean War. At 140 minutes it is little over long and the back stories are stretched a little. It has an English speaking dub that is pretty good and the battle scenes are quite realistic, almost to the extreme.


Worth a rent (it's available as a new release at Blockbuster)

I watched this movie a while ago. Honestly, the story was drawn out too much. Also, it seems that Korean films have really been tapping into the North/South family-suffering/consipiracy theme a lot lately. In addition, I don't think they were very accurate with their times/sets/uniforms. The film also led you to believe that the Korean War was fought only by Koreans. I also agree that it looked an awful lot of Saving Private Ryan.
