Tag McLaren 100x5R or Lexicon LX7 advise

295 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  SnatPeak
Hi all!!

I have the opportunity to buy one of them, the Tag Mclaren and the Lexicon. The Lexicon costs $500 more than the Tag. My doubt is: which one would be the best choice?

My speakers and AV are:

Monitor Audio Silver 10 (L/R)
Monitor Audio Silver Center
Magnat supreme (surrounds)
Monitor Audio Silver FX (surrounds back)
SVS PB2000 (Sub)

All channels (7.1) driven by an Onkyo RZ3100.

My preference would be 95% movies.

I read about both, I know they are quite old but, even nowadays, seem good options. I´ve read also that the output power of the Lexicon is less in 4ohms than in 8ohms and my Monitor Audio Silver 10 are 4ohms, so, I have some doubts here.

Summarizing, according to my tastes and my system, under your opinion, what would be the best option?

Thanks in advance.
