They have a model VP2048R video scaler based on the sil504. I'm having a hard time finding info about it however.

If you go to their website and look up the VIP party in the forum, you will find some info on it.
There is info on the 480i to 480p deinterlacer. There is practically no info on the next step upconverter/processor, including price/availability. It is vaporware until more details are forthcoming (including the aforementioned).
The TAG VP2048R (which can also be mounted inside the AV192R) will be able to scale up to 2048 lines. This scaler is two separate products, in one external box: VSM2048 (the scaler part) and PSM192 (de-interlacer NTSC and PAL).

It might be released around Q1/Q2 next year, if lucky.

The scaler part, VSM2048, has not been released, which makes it impossible to tell what chipset and manufacture TAG are using.

The deinterlacer, PSM192, is already a released product which can be mounted inside the DVD32R (do observe that the PSM192 is connected to the component signal within the DVD32R - NOT the digital "original" signal so there is an extra D/A and A/D conversion before de-interlacing takes place). The PSM192 will also be mountable inside the upcomming AV192R (with or without the scaler part VSM2048).
