Take back my Sony for a Samsung BD-P1000?
Found a guy who has one that is in like new condition and he wants $180 for the Samsung.
I bought the SOny 301 last night for $380 and really feel I overpaid.
Is the Samsung a good unit and worth $180 used?

I'll stick with the Sony if I were you. At least the 301 plays all Blu-ray discs and Sony keeps it up to date with new firmware updates.
The Sony image quality is excellent but they where $299, so yes you overpaid. Take it back and look for a better deal on the Sony or go for the Samsung. Stay away from the 1200/1400 right now, more problems then the S-300 if you ask me, and I owned the 1400 for about a week and took it back. Panasonic BD-30 and BD-50 when it comes our are some good ones as well.
