A thread of speculation and observations about the
TCL 58-inch LE58FHDE3010

It is a direct LED model, tv.

It is the 58 inch little brother of the massive 110-inch "The China Star".

Especially welcome informed comments from observers in the orient that have seen the newest 3010 series models from TCL.

There is also a medium sized model, the 50-inch LE50FHD3010 uses edge-lit LED lighting;

Does anyone have advice on this TV? Amazon currently has it for $599 shipped, which is an awesome price, but I'm not sure what to make of the Amazon reviews. Some people love it, but CNET's reviews say the black levels "crush" which I'm not sure what that means, but they say the picture loses detail. Please help!

There are other threads on TCL. I would take reviews with a grain of salt, most of the negative reviews on Amazon are morons that don't even concern the picture quality or even the TV itself. And I haven't owned a TV in the last 15 years that I didn't have to enter the service menu to tweak. I own the 50" and I'm more than happy with it as a bedroom TV at $499 once tweaked.

EDIT; Just realized you're the same person on the other thread. You really have nothing to lose especially if you're a Prime member on Amazon. If it's sold by Amazon and you don't like it just return it.
