I've got an annoyingly strange issue with DivX playback on my HTPC with the following specs:
Intel Q6600 QuadCore CPU
HIS HD 3850 Turbo 512MB Card
OCZ 4GB DDR800 (2x2GB)
WDC WD5000AAKS HDD
LG BD/HD combo drive
Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit
Connected to a Sharp Aquos LC-32DA5U (720p) via HDMI using ATI's DVI to HDMI adapter.
When I play DivX files via WMP11 using the latest DivX codec, I get horizontal tearing in the centre of the screen. However, when playing Blu-Ray, HD DVD or DVD's via PowerDVD, I have no such issues, so it's not like the system can't handle DivX decoding.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm using the latest drivers for everything in my system, including the latest catalyst drivers (8.1).
Thanks.
