These just may be my favorite tweak for loudspeakers of all time. Tekna Sonic panels were self adhesive and they would stick anywhere onto a loudspeaker for vibration control. They had a huge improvement on any speaker I've ever tried them on. Better midrange, more controlled bass.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a currently manufactured similar product?

I don't see the need for them on a properly designed speaker. Now if your talking about decoupling from the floor, that's different.

I have a pair on the backs of my Legacy Focus main speakers. I can't say yay or nay about improvement since I've never had them off to compare.
They won't do anything with Legacy, that's for sure. Good speakers don't need any external gizmos. If sticking something on the back of your speakers makes them work better you don't need snake oil add-ons, you need better speakers.

I'm sure you're correct. At 175lbs/ea the cabinets are pretty solid and not that prone to vibration. If they weren't on the speaker when I purchased them I wouldn't have them.

I would take what Bill says with a grain of salt. You be the judge. Take the Teknas off and compare. They attach with magnets, so taking them off is a piece of pie.

I've had them off before after moving the Legacys from one room to another. I didn't notice any significant change. I keep them installed. Better than putting them in a drawer. I do have other speakers that may benefit from them. I can see them being of some benefit on my T&A Stratos P-30s or my Klipsch Kg4s. Now you have me thinking.

Pay no attention to Nagy, he's a snake oil salesman himself, and he uses every opportunity to push people into buying useless crap like what he sells. Google Bill Fitzmaurice and you'll see who he's telling you to take with a grain of salt is a guy whose advise you can take to the bank. And really, attaching damping pads with magnets? How are they supposed to damp anything then?

How do they attach with magnets when most enclosures are made of wood/MDF?
Audiophile wood magnets. Better get the extra strong ones to counteract the lubricating effect of the snake oil.

Why does it matter? You think it's snake oil...
Interesting, how would you know that? I haven't posted an opinion in this thread. Also, I have never referred to you as a snakeoil salesman.

Bunch of new old stock Tekna Sonics on eBay this morning for cheap prices. It seems like there's only one C-5 pair left. I got a pair myself earlier today. These are some of the best tweaks for speakers period. Someone should snatch that pair up. You'll thank me later.
