Tell Me Your Secrets photos reveal Amy Brenneman and Lily Rabe in new thriller series

Amazon Prime Video series costars Hamish Linklater and Enrique Murciano.

By clark collis

Could Tell Me Your Secrets be our next crime show obsession? We'll keep tight-lipped about that for now. But there's no secret about the fact that this upcoming thriller from Amazon Prime has an intriguing and encouraging cast.

The 10 episode drama revolves around a trio of characters, each with a mysterious and troubling past: Lily Rabe from American Horror Story plays Emma, a young woman who once looked into the eyes of a dangerous killer; The Newsroom and Legion actor Hamish Linklater is John, a former serial predator desperate to find redemption; and The Leftovers star Amy Brenneman portrays a grieving mother obsessed with finding her missing daughter. As each of them is pushed to the edge, the truth about their pasts and motives grows ever murkier, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator.

Tell Me Your Secrets is created and written by Harriet Warner, whose previous credits include the much-loved U.K. TV show Call the Midwife. The show's cast also includes Enrique Murciano, Stella Baker, Elliot Fletcher, and Xavier Samuel, among others.

‘Tell Me Your Secrets’ Thriller Drama Series Heads To Amazon After Leaving TNT

Amazon Prime Video has acquired the psychological thriller drama series Tell Me Your Secrets, starring Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), Amy Brenneman (The Leftovers), Hamish Linklater (Legion) and Enrique Murciano (The Blacklist). The series will premiere in 2021 on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Tell Me Your Secrets was originally ordered to series by TNT in 2018, but was later released and put in turnaround. Turner’s Studio T has remained as co-producer.

Created and written by Harriet Warner (Dangerous Liaisons) and co-produced by Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Tell Me Your Secrets is an intense, morally complex thriller. The 10-episode drama revolves around a trio of characters, each with a mysterious and troubling past: Emma (Rabe) is a young woman who once looked into the eyes of a dangerous killer, John (Linklater) is a former serial predator desperate to find redemption, and Mary (Brenneman) is a grieving mother obsessed with finding her missing daughter. As each of them is pushed to the edge, the truth about their pasts and motives grows ever murkier, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator. Also starring is Murciano as Peter Guillory, a therapist with seemingly good intentions.

The series also stars Stella Baker (Candace) as Theresa, Elliot Fletcher (Shameless) as Jake, Xavier Samuel (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) as Kit Parker, Chiara Aurelia (The Brave) as Rose, Ashley Madekwe (The Umbrella Academy) as Lisa Guillory, and Bryant Tardy (Logan) as Jay. Marque Richardson (Dear White People) as Tom Johnston, Katherine Willis (Queen of The South) as Diana Lord, Richard Thomas (The Waltons) as Bodie Lord, Emryi Crutchfield (Fargo) as Jess Cairns, and Charles Esten (Outer Banks) as Saul Barlow will appear in recurring roles.

Tell Me Your Secrets is co-produced by Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories and Turner’s Studio T. Warner executive produces along with Papandrea (The Undoing, Big Little Lies) and Casey Haver (Queen America) for Made Up Stories, and John Polson (Elementary) who also directed the series.

The deal was negotiated by Endeavor Content on behalf of Made Up Stories.

Anyone watching this? I just finished the series and was really blown away- great acting, intricate plot, picture quality is excellent. But my favorite part about this show is the score- really unique instrumentation used here that can make your bones chill. I used neural x on the dd+ 5.1 and there was always some really interesting instrument placement. Can’t recommend this show enough!

Watched the first two episodes thanks to this thread last night. Off to a good start! I would've never watched a show called "Tell Me Your Secrets" if not for the endorsements above. The title sounds like a CW show about gossipy teenagers or a show set in a TMZ-type media company.

Well that was intense. Just finished the 10 episodes and am surprised to see there isn't more discussion of Tell Me Your Secrets since my last post. This show seems like it would be right up the alley of many AVSers, especially given almost everyone has Prime. Lily Rabe, Amy Brenneman, and Hamish Linklater were all pretty amazing in this. Very well-done production: cinematography, music, etc.

For some reason I thought this show would be more like an anthology or limited series. I won't spoil anything but the ending definitely points to another season, whether it gets greenlit or not, but there is also resolution/revelation around many of the "secrets."

I think this show would be a smash hit if it had been released on Netflix
