So, now that I have 3.0 and can't set the color scheme, it's hard to tell which machine I'm on. This bugged me all day yesterday, but today I came up with the solution: on my 2020 I recorded one minute of 20/20 and will leave it on the machine. Now, when I look at the Replay Guide I'll know I'm on my 2020 and not my ShowStopper.

OK, not the most ingenious idea of the century, but it works.

I don't know Ken, I think that was a pretty elegant solution.

Now, do we have to wait for ABC to put on a show called 3060 to identify your other unit?

If it won't produce 500 watts per channel through a direct short, you need more power.

I had never even thought of using the color scheme to tell them apart. What a great idea and now it's gone. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif

I'm in the process (working on it tonight in fact) of making a seperate set of IR commands to control the second Replay box. So I will know I'm looking at the wrong one because the remote won't work.

I'm using Tivo's IR commands to control the 2nd box since I know I'll never actually own one in the future http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

I was thinking that it might be nice if we could add a short "tag" to the machine. I could call one "left" and the other "right" (or actually, in my case, up and down). Then, the tag could be displayed when ReplayTV icons or screens come on.
