I have researched many threads discussing this setup and the use of the Terk M58 multiswitch. According to Terk, I should be able to feed 4 coax lines from a triple LNB sat dish and one coax line from an OTA antenna into the M58 for distribution throughout the house. The threads I have read suggest that the OTA feed should be routed directly to the tuner.

The house has been pre-wired by Verizon. Verizon has outlets in various rooms in the house that lead back to a central hub. From the outside, there is one line going into the house for satellite and one for OTA or cable. The system is designed to be used with a multiswitch. I obviously will need to use diplexers at the three Directv tuners I plan to use, one Samsung 160, one Directivo, and one plain vanilla Directv.

My dilemma is this: From what I have read here and on tivocommunity, no one has definitively stated that they have successfully combined 4 sat feeds and one OTA feed into the M58 and distributed them to more than one tuner. Has anyone been able to do this? If so, please let us all know about it! Thanks.

It works. I'm doing it with an Eagle Aspen S-4180-GX+ which is functionally the same if not identical to the Terk M-58. As you say, the M58 will take 4 lines from the dish and one line from the antenna and puts out 8 diplexed lines to various places in the house. It's a 5x8, 5 in 8 out switch.

Therefore, those 2 lines you have presently going into the house won't be enough. The multiswitch will be in the position of the hub you mentioned so you'll need 4 lines from the dish and one line from the antenna going into the house.

We have sold many Phase III dish/Terk M58 combos.

The OTA set up work great!

Don't forget the diplexers (8 of them, 1 at each reciever you wish to have OTA).
