My PANASONIC E-30 is14 MTS. old, used it yesterday still doing fine E-80 is 1 yr. old, use it daily still doing fine . We all want our recorders to to give us the best possible recording but with so many opinions about what is the best i will have to leave that up each one of our eyes I think all of us would agree though, that if these recorders don't last a long time it will be hard to justify our $ investment. I worry about all of these new cheap recorders not lasting to long , when DVD player first came out my sons bought Pioneers and Sonys they still work fine i am on my 3rd cheap DVD player
