Greetings all!

I'm to examine what could be my first CRT projector this evening, and I'm more than a little anxious because I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. The unit is an NEC 9PG+ and does not include a remote, mounting bracket, or manual/s.

Is it possible to check the units hour count without a remote?

I will check for burn-in on the CRTs.

If anyone else can suggest anything else I definitely want to look at I'd appreciate it very much. For example, should I check for the presence of certain cards, etc.

Thank you.

have a search in the Forum... I believe I remember Curt saying something about the remote for this unit being absolutely essential for set-up??!? not 100% sure though.

I'm probably too late, but AFAIK you can't do nuffin' without the remote.

The 9 PG+ should have the point convergence board and the video/S-video board installed.

A good unit all the way around. Check the tubes with a flashlight for wear and burns, and plug the unit in to make sure it will at least turn on.
