TH-42PD25U/P aspect ratio issues

When I watch a channel broadcasting 480i, the aspect ratio is only correct in "just". 4:3, zoom and full all are shown in the 4:3 area with vertical black bars within the 4:3 area and are shown with washed out color but correct picture. (zoom is still zoomed, you just only see the portion of the picture visible in the 4:3 area, between the black bars that are also within the 4:3 area.)


PIP works fine.


Aspect ratio Just works fine.


I am using an OTA antenna only.


I have had the TV for about a month. I used to be able to use all the aspects for a 480i signal. Although, I have been using "just" exclusively for the last 3 weeks or so. I have not made any changes other than using cinema. I'm perplexed, why would one aspect ratio work/look fine and the other 3 not?
