Why does Panasonic provide native resolution for 720p with the TH-50PHD7UY but does not for the TH-50XVS30UP?

If it's native resolution is not 720p what will it display? black bars or something?

Good question and the short answer is no one knows.


It's not the native resolution BTW, just an input type that isn't supported over component and DVI/HDMI. And you get no picture if you feed a 720p source to those inputs.

All signals will be down/up converted to the Display's Native Resolution 768.
