I have been thinking about getting the TH-58PH10UKA. I sit about 13 feet away. Can someone tell me how SDE is at this distance. Also, how have you liked the unit overall? Thanks.

Overall, great display for the money. SDE on most 1366x768 50" dislpays and large is very hard to see SDE. I stand roughly 6 feet away from 42" 42PX60U and SDE is not noticeable. If your budget is around $2500, I would probably wait until the 50PZ800U makes its presence for just a tad bit more.

Thanks for the info. I am actually in the market for a 58/60 inch display. Budget is not an issue. It just seems that the TH-58PH10UKA is a great value.

Do yourself a favor and look at the 6020FD. That should be your first choice. Black levels will appear deeper and overall color accuracy should be similar. Another decent choice is the LG 60PG60.

I have thought about the Pioneers but I am not willing to spend that kind of money on product that has potential long term issues, i.e; the buzzing.

I have also looked at the LGs but they do not do 480i over HDMI.

I think you will love the TH-58PH10UKA the Panasonic professional models are excellent displays. I have the TH-50PH9UK myself it still looks as good as the day I bought it and I still love it just as much.

If that is an issue then you will definitely want to note that the Panasonic TH-58PH10UK does not do 480i over HDMI either.

search for the old 10uk threads and you'll get a wealth of opinions, and answers about distance. my 58ph10uk will be a year old next month and i still am very very happy.
