Is there a difference between the two models? There is a great sale right now at plasmakings.com and the "U" model is a little more expensive with slightly more for shipping as well.

Very interesting that they have a non-U model...never heard of that..sounds a little fishy to me...

They should be the same model, but of course you'd want to verify with them. The model number displayed on the box it comes in is TH-42PA20U/P. Sometimes you see it listed at etailers at the TH42PA20U, sometimes the TH42PA20UP, sometimes they put the dash in there, etc.

The US model is TH42PA20U where the UK model is TH42PA20B. If the model is just TH42PA20 then one must wonder what country code it may have and if it is a grey market model ie. no US warranty....

From what I've been told, the "/P" stands for the bundled tv stand.
