I picked up The Code at my local BB yesterday and watched it last night. It is a heist flick starring Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas.


I'd never heard of this film before, but have always found Morgan Freeman a good actor to watch in anything.


The film surprised me with a good plot, strong performances by both lead actors, and some twists and turns that aren't obvious from the beginning of the film.


PQ and AQ are pretty standard for Blu-Ray.


Worth a rental if you like either of the main actors, or, a good crime caper flick.

Thanks for the info. I wonder why it didn't get a theatrical release. Freeman, Banderas, I mean those two aren't exactly the kind of guys you'd cast for a direct-to-dvd flick!

When you watch it you'll understand. The title makes no sense, especially considering the original name was "Thick as Thieves." Shot on the cheap, looks the part, story is bland, etc. Deserved to go to video.

Strange that those two would do a low budget, direct to dvd/BR movie..I can't imagine either one needing the money. Of course it could have been one of those movies that aspired to greater things, yet had a massive dose of fail during production..
