I bought a Sony KDL-60R550A, 2D was very good, but the 3D I had a problem. Let me try putting in my feeling about it. I imagine the 3D picture as a spherical area with the vertical line at the center of the TV as axis. at the surface and closer to the surface of that sphere I found the images loose sharpness and smoothness tremendously. I attributed it to the refresh rate of the TV and the processor rate. I replaced it with a Samsung UN60F7500(240Mhz refresh rate and a quad core processor). I do not see the sharpness issue that I saw in the Sony. 2D and 3D are very good. But I have a feel that the radius of the 3D sphere is lesser than the Sony. No reviews or manufacturer specs seem to speak of the radius of the 3D sphere. Does anyone know of a technical term for the 3D sphere? Do you know of what technical factor I should look into to know the maximum radius of this 3D sphere the TV offers. I tend to believe that this radius is an attribute of the content, but I saw the difference with the same content. Any help in validating my observation would be useful.
